History
The New Hampshire Flames Basketball club was founded in 1998.
In its inaugural season the club fielded a single team at the
11U level. The organization was founded with the following
guiding principle:
The Flames organization is dedicated to providing girls in
Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts the
opportunity to develop their physical, social and emotional
well-being through healthy athletic competition.
The organization steadily grew during its first ten years of
existence and by 2008 consisted of 19 teams, providing playing
opportunities for over 200 girls.
Flames teams have also had much success at the NH State level
over the years, routinely placing in most age groups. Flames
Teams have participated in the AAU National Championship
Tournament in 2003 (11U), 2005 (12U) and 2009 (11U). The 2009
squad ranked #8 at the AAU National Championships. The Flames
Organization captured their first NH AAU State Championships
in 2008, at the 10U and 13U level. In 2010 the Flames set a new
gold standard by capturing state titles at three age groups.
