Guidelines & Procedures

Player selection decisions consider what is in the best interests of both the player and the team. Key selection criteria are listed below (not equally weighted, or necessarily inclusive of everything that coaches may consider):

• Player skill level relative to skill level of the team
• Skill mix / position requirements to balance the team
• Commitment to practice & tournament position
• Player / parent attitude, demeanor, and alignment with Flames' mission
• Historic coaching relationship with the player
